3、雪地打山雞
有一年冬天,岳飛幹完活,到家還有半里多地,瞥見山坡上伏著兩只山雞,右邊一隻長尾巴上還附有冰雪。他知道這時候的山雞又肥又嫩,這東西又最愛惜它的羽毛。
尾巴上有雪便飛不快,正好都打回去孝敬父母。於是把身邊軟弓竹箭取出,扣上弦,先朝左邊一隻射去,正好射中那隻山雞的頭部。山雞只蹦起丈許高下,連翅膀都沒張開,便落了下來。
右邊一隻剛剛驚起,岳飛早打好了主意,頭一箭剛發,第二箭也相繼射出,當時穿胸而過,兩只山雞全被射中。岳飛趕忙跑過去,連雞帶箭全拾起來,往家飛跑。
到家一看,門前大片積雪已被父母掃光,只有兩片平整的雪地未動,剛喊得一聲:「娘!」母親已由裡面趕出,將雞接過,笑說:「你臉都凍紫了,還不快到炕上去暖和一會兒!
你看那兩片雪地,想留給你寫字,還捨不得掃呢。」岳飛就是這樣,冬天用雪地當紙,枯枝作筆,夏天用沙土當紙。
柳條作筆,堅持著學習寫字、讀書,還兼練武健身,比其他人付出了不知多少倍的努力和艱辛,磨煉成了鋼鐵般的意志。
4、學館外面的旁聽生
岳飛童年時,家境清貧,學習讀書都是母親姚氏找幾本舊書教讀,無錢買紙筆,母親便在沙上畫字教他寫。一年春天,岳飛幫助父親岳和做完了田裡的事,又去砍柴,回來的時候。
發現在村側柳林後面,開了一所學館。於是,岳飛便在學館外邊偷聽,他發現老師書講得非常好,向人一打聽,才知老師周侗是陝西人,年已60多歲,人很精神。
非但書教得好,還會教學生騎馬、射箭和諸般武藝。岳飛很想去學館學習,可是因為家裡十分貧困,於是岳飛每天做完農活後都會到學館外偷聽周侗老師講課。
周侗老師教書的方法實在不同尋常,最重要的是內容講解和師徒間的互相問難。特別是對於兵法和行軍打仗之學,講起來有聲有色,使人聽而忘倦。
岳飛少年所處的時代是宋徽宗崇寧二年。他從小就聽父老鄉親談論朝廷無道、外患日深和敵人的殘暴,家庭又是那麼寒苦,這一切激起了他愛國愛民的心志和對敵人的仇恨。
讀書習武的願望也就日益迫切起來。無奈這位周侗老師是當地幾家財主費了許多心力聘請而來的,錢還在其次,最主要的是老師的脾氣很古怪,所收學生均要經過他的選擇。
如果看不上,不管學生的家長有多大官位,送多少金銀,說不收就一定不收,托誰也沒有用。岳飛剛想附讀,便受到旁人的譏嘲,說他不僅不自量力,而且家境貧寒,出不起學錢。
學館中多是富家子弟,穿得好,吃得好,來去都有人接送,貧富懸殊,如何能與之為伍?岳飛的附學之念雖被打消,可是在門外偷聽了幾次講書之後,越聽越愛。
老是放不下,一天不去,寢食難安。農村中的孩子是要幫助家裡下地做農活的,岳飛又深知家裡條件貧苦,平日刻苦耐勞,所做的事很多,一身不能兼顧。
仗著聰明會算計,幾次去過,發現周侗老師講書是在清早和黃昏前,單日習文,雙日習武。柳林以內就是演武場,可以暗中偷看,學些武藝。
這之後,便把聽讀老師講書和砍柴下田做雜事的時間,仔細盤算,調配了一下,又和母親說好,按時前往。不久以後,岳飛便成了周家學館門外的旁聽生。

岳飛一回到臨安,立即陷入秦檜、張俊等人布置的羅網。1141年(紹興十一年),他遭誣告「謀反」,被關進了臨安大理寺(原址在今杭州小車橋附近)。監察御史親自刑審、拷打,逼供岳飛。
與此同時,宋金政府之間,正加緊策劃第二次和議,雙方都視抗戰派為眼中釘,金兀術甚至兇相畢露地寫信給秦檜:「必殺岳飛而後可和。」
在內外兩股惡勢力夾擊下,岳飛正氣凜然,光明正大,忠心報國。從他身上,秦檜一夥找不到任何「反叛朝廷的證據,但岳飛卻仍於紹興十一年農歷除夕夜,被趙構「特賜死」。
殺害於臨安大理寺內,年僅三十九歲。岳飛部將張憲、兒子岳雲亦被腰斬於市門。岳飛父子及張憲死於奸臣昏君之手,激起了抗金軍隊和老百姓的強烈憤怒。
韓世忠當面質問秦檜,秦檜支吾其詞「其事體莫須有(也許有)」。韓世忠當場駁斥:「莫須有』三字,何以服天下」。

A Famous General of the Song Dynasty. He fought against the Jin race and became a national hero of the Chinese history. Because of his abilities it was said that "it is easier to move a mountain than Yue Fei's army".
The great General Yue Fei created the "108 hands", the so-called Yue Shi San Shou, which later was known as Ying Zhao (Eagle Claw).
