旁 白:這樣,老臣報告了陛下布很漂亮,不久,皇帝又派一位官員去。
官 員:哦!這布真漂亮!我很滿意。
旁 白:其實官員什麼也沒看見,但他不願「承認」。不久,皇帝又和一批隨員去了。
兩個騙子:陛下,請看,多麼美麗的布!
皇 帝:難道我愚蠢嗎?不!我不能讓別人知道(心裡所想)。這布太漂亮了!我十二分滿意。(目光看起來十分高興)
隨 員:陛下,真是美極了!您就用這美麗的布料去做成衣服,參加遊行大典吧。
旁 白:皇帝答應了,並且封兩個騙子為爵士和御聘織師,還贈送一枚可以掛在扣眼上的勛章。到快要進行遊行大典的時候,皇帝就和他的騎士取衣服。
兩個騙子:尊敬的陛下,請看!多麼美麗!(舉起雙手指)這是褲子,這是袍子,這是外衣,這些衣服十分的輕柔,穿在人身上跟沒有似的,也正是它的優點。
騎 士:沒錯。
兩個騙子:請陛下您脫下衣服,我們在這大鏡子前為您穿上。
旁 白:皇帝脫下了所有的衣服,兩個騙子裝模作樣的給皇帝穿了上去,皇帝也扭了扭腰肢。
大 家:上帝啊!多麼美麗的衣服啊!真是一套貴重的衣服。
