《上海外语口译证书考试》是上海紧缺人才培训工程重要项目之一，由上海市高校浦东继续教育中心（PCEC）负责组织实施。自1995年6月开考至2004年秋季，已有19.82万人次报考，1.71万人经考试（含笔试、口试）合格获得由上海紧缺人才培训工程联席会议办公室颁发的《上海市外语口译岗位资格证书》，近千人获得由上海市外语口译岗位资格证书考试委员会颁发的《上海市英语口译基础能力合格证书》。
