翻译资格考试报名条件：凡遵守中华人民共和国宪法和法律，恪守职业道德，具有一定外语水平的人员，不分年龄、学历、资历，均可报名参加相应语种、级别的考试。
经国家有关部门同意，获准在中华人民共和国境内就业的外籍人员及港、澳、台地区的专业人员，符合《翻译专业资格(水平)考试暂行规定》要求的，也可报名参加翻译专业资格(水平)考试并申请登记。
全国外语翻译证书考试目前只设英语一个语种的翻译考试，该考试包含六种证书，分为笔译和口译两大类，各含三个级别，分别是：初级笔译证书、中级笔译证书、高级笔译证书、初级口译证书、中级口译证书、高级口译证书。
